Many pets are unable to wear their claws properly due to housing conditions, so claw trimming by the pet owner or veterinarian becomes necessary. When clipping the claws , it is important to keep a sufficient distance from the living part, which can be recognized by its pink color. Nerves and blood vessels run in this area, to which a distance of 2-3mm should be maintained.
