Kattovit Kidney / Renal F.Diet

To support kidney function in chronic kidney failure.

KIDNEY/RENAL has been specially developed to provide cats with a reduced protein content by using high quality protein in an easily digestible composition. High levels of protein can have a damaging effect on the kidneys. The decisive factor here is the protein content in relation to the amount of energy. With Kattovit KIDNEY/RENAL - in contrast to conventional food - only about half of the energy is provided by protein. Enrichment with potassium citrate ensures less acidic urine (neutral) and can thus prevent oxalate crystal formation (oxalate prophylaxis). Phosphorus and sodium levels are reduced.
Recommended feeding period: Initially up to 6 months, in acute renal failure 2-4 weeks.
It is recommended to seek the advice of a veterinarian before use or before extending the feeding time. Fresh water should always be readily available.
Feeding recommendation : An average sized cat (4 kg) receives approx. 60g per day.

Composition : Meat and animal by-products, eggs and egg products, cereals, vegetable by-products, oils and fats, yeast, fish and fish by-products, minerals (0.1% potassium citrate).
Protein sources : hydrolyzed protein, egg, rice, corn, fish.

Analytical components : crude protein 25.5%, fat content 19.5%, essential fatty acids 4.0%, crude ash 5.0%, crude fiber 3.0%, calcium 0.65%, phosphorus 0.4%, potassium 0.7 %, sodium 0.3%, chlorides 0.3%, sulfur 0.5%, magnesium 0.08%, hydroxyproline: 0.10%, total vitamin D: 1,400 IU/kg.
